Some models made by the Sage Lab.
Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR– When crossed to a Cre-recombinase expressing strain, this mouse will only express DTR on Cre-expressing and CXCR5-expressing cells, making them amenable to deletion. See Clement et al. Nat. Imm 2019.
Tfr-DTR (Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR x FoxP3YFP-Cre). When the Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR allele is crossed to the FoxP3YFP-Cre from the Rudensky Lab, only Tfr cells will express DTR making them amenable to inducible deletion. See Clement et al. Nat. Imm. 2019, Cavazzoni et al. Cell Reports 2022, Zhang et al. Nat. Comm. 2025.
Tfh-DTR (Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR x Cd4Cre). When the Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR allele is crossed to a Cd4-Cre, all Tfh (and Tfr) express DTR making them amenable to inducible deletion. See Cavazzoni et al. Cell Reports 2022, Chandrakar et al. Nat. Imm. 2025.
eTfh-DTR (Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR x Il21Cre x Rosa26LoxSTOPLoxYFP, aka F/Ex-DTR, Tfh21-DTR). When the Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR allele is crossed to an IL21-Cre from Uta Hoepken as well as a Rosa fate mapping allele, only eTfh (cells that have expressed IL-21 and currently express CXCR5) will express DTR and be amenable to inducible deletion. See Podesta et al. Nat. Comm. 2023, Zhang et al. JCI Insight 2023.
Tfh13-DTR (Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR x IL13Cre). When the Cxcr5LoxSTOPLoxDTR allele is crossed to an IL13-Cre from the Locksley Lab, Tfh13 cells (cells that have expressed IL-13 and currently express CXCR5) will express DTR and be amenable to inducible deletion. See Chandrakar et al. Nat. Imm. 2025.
21LDL (IL21LoxDTRLox). Cells currently expressing IL-21 express DTR making them amenable to inducible deletion. However, presence of a Cre-recombinase “rescues” cell subsets making them insensitive to deletion. See Chandrakar et al. Nat. Imm. 2025, Lee et al. Nat. Imm. 2026.
Cxcr5-Cre. Cells currently expressing Cxcr5 will also express Cre recombinase. When crossed to a Rosa26 fate mapping allele it will fate map Cxcr5 expression in cells. Unpublished.
S1PR2-FlpOERT2. When crossed with a FrtSTOPFrt fate mapping allele, it will allow inducible fate mapping of GC B cells via the Flp-Frt system, which is compatible with Cre-lox gene deletion. Unpublished.
